It is oriented on understanding and fulfilling of customer requirements - specific needs related to given company products, acceptation of process approach, providing effectiveness process results and its continuous improving base on objective measurements. This standard recommends encompassing of organizational processes by PDCA cycle also known as Deming cycle.

The main ISO 9001 requirements cover: introducing documentation supervision, engagement of management in quality management building, resources management systematization, making product process realization, making systematical measurement (client satisfaction, product, process).
